EMPTY HEART
BELL

after I lose my breasts
first the right, then the left
my clavicles swollen like shoulder pads
I have no hands only a spine
tulips stacked into one another
if you pick one there's a fine
if you look into the space
where my breast used to be
you look into the bell of a tuba
I can still belt out one hell of a song
