BLUE LIPS

TORSO

there is blood in the egg yoke
blue lips where her breasts used to be
eyelash scars and x-rays as gray as November
when the pine needles dry across her chest
the blue withered arm that someone else
used to hide under her sleeve
the women with half a leg jumped into the pool
and shamed us who were ashamed
of our chubby middles and now we stomp
on the invincible nipples of acorns
